Creating A Paging Group

A paging group allows for one-way or two-way conversations with a group of users or devices that automatically answer when called. To create a paging group, start by creating a new call flow and assigning it an extension. Then, add the Page Group action and select the desired users and devices for the group. This is typically used for one-way conversations to avoid feedback issues.

A paging group is a group of users or devices that when called automatically answer and allow one way (or two way) conversations.  Typically this is best used for one way conversations as two way conversations in a ring group can cause feedback depending on the locations of the phones.

Page groups are create in advanced call flows.

  1. Start by creating a new call flow and giving it an extension.  

  2. Then drag and drop the "Page Group" action from the Advanced section on the right.

  3. In the page group dialogue box select the users and/or devices for the page group.
