- Forwarding missed calls on your cell phone to office voicemail
To forward missed calls on your cell phone to your office voicemail, you need to set up a direct dial to your voicemail box. Once set up, you can enable missed call forwarding through your cell phone provider, such as AT&T or Verizon, by dialing specific codes. For Verizon, dial *71 followed by your voicemail direct number, and for AT&T, dial a series of codes including *61, *62, and *67. To disable the feature, dial different codes, such as *73 for Verizon or ##61#, ##62#, and ##67# for AT&T.
- Parking A Call
Parking a call allows any extension to pick up the call by dialing the parking lot extension. To place a call in a park, press the transfer key and dial the parking lot extension, which by default ranges from *300 to *399. If a parked call is not picked up after 40 seconds, it will ring back to the original extension. Some phone models may have designated parking space keys that can be used instead of dialing the extension.
- Answering A Parked Call
To answer a parked call, dial the parking lot extension where the caller is parked and you will be connected to the caller on hold. Alternatively, if your phone has programmed parking space keys, you can press the associated key to attend the call. The parking space keys will show green when empty and red when a caller is on hold. This allows for easy identification and answering of parked calls.

The ability to download call recordings may depend on your VentureTel service plan or account settings.
- Pickup another ringing extension (AKA Directed Call Pickup)
Directed call pickup allows users to answer incoming calls on another user's extension using a feature access code. To use this feature, dial *8 and then the extension of the ringing phone, or press the BLF key for that extension. The BLF key shows the status of other extensions, such as free, busy, or ringing. This feature must be enabled by submitting a support ticket.
- Placing A Call On Hold
To place a call on hold, press the pause button on the phone. This puts the caller on a temporary hold that can only be retrieved from your phone. To pick up the call again, press the blinking green line button on your phone. This type of hold does not allow other extensions to answer the call.
- Setting up your voicemail
To access the voicemail system, press the envelope on your phone or dial *98. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to set up a PIN and record your voicemail message. After the initial setup, you will need to log in to check your voicemail. The system will guide you through the process with prompts.
- Transferring a call direct to voicemail
Transferring a call direct to voicemail is similar to a normal call transfer, but it sends the call straight to the user's voicemail box without ringing their extension. To do this, press the transfer button, then dial **, and finally dial the extension of the user you want to send the call to voicemail. This process allows you to redirect a call to a user's voicemail box quickly and efficiently. The transfer is completed by dialing the transfer code, **, and the desired extension.
